Synchronized tasks allow teachers to centrally control what students hear and when they record.

Description

Synchronized tasks allow teachers to administer a listening or speaking assessment with the entire class simultaneously. Use synchronized tasks to conduct assessments, proctor AP Exams, and/or stream out audio to the entire class.

Instructions for creating a synchronized task is detailed on page 13 of the DiLL Teacher's Guide. A reproduction is provided below:

Recap:

  • Create a synchronized task by going to the Tasks menu and selecting Begin New Synchronized Task...
  • Use synchronized tasks to conduct listening/speaking assessments with the entire class simultaneously
  • Create a test environment by locking student screens to DiLL Only when using a synchronized task
  • Students will not be able to delete recordings made in a synchronized task. In this mode, teachers have all control. Students only need to focus on listening and speaking.
  • Recordings are automatically saved and uploaded to the DiLL Server
