Recording-only tasks allow students to self-record.
Either alone or with a partner, and in response to non-audio media.

Description

Recording-only tasks allow students to record without prompts.

Use recording-only tasks to capture student responses to non-audio stimuli as well as conversations. Examples:

  • Describe a picture
  • Thoughts on a video clip
  • Read aloud a news article

Instructions for creating a recording-only task is detailed on page 12 of the DiLL Teacher's Guide. A reproduction is provided below:

Recap:

  • Create a recording-only task by going to the Tasks menu and selecting New Task...
  • Use recording-only tasks to capture student responses to non-audio stimuli or pair/group conversations
  • When recording a conversation, as long as one party records, all voices will be captured
  • Recordings are automatically saved and uploaded to the DiLL Server
