Pre-assign a task to allow students to self-download and work on an assignment with a due date.

Description

To create a homework assignment, simply pre-assign a task. Pre-assigned tasks are tasks that students can download and load on their own, even without a teacher physically present.

Use pre-assigned tasks to set time limits on when work should be completed, for either homework or semester/year-long projects.

Instructions for pre-assigning a task is detailed on pages 14 and 15 of the DiLL Teacher's Guide. A reproduction is provided below:

Recap:

  • Pre-assign a task by checking the Pre-assign box in the New Task window
  • Pre-assign tasks have start and end dates/times. Students may download and work on the task as much as they like during the teacher defined time period
  • Use pre-assigned tasks to create homework assignments accessible from home
  • Recordings are automatically saved and uploaded to the DiLL Server
