Use voice connections to pair and group students in conversation.

2.4 Conversation Groups

Description

Use two-way connections to group students in conversation. Conference students together by either 1) dragging two-way lines between students; 2) selecting students and using the Conference button; or 3) using the Randomly Group feature.

People can be connected many ways. Be creative!

Instructions for pairing and grouping students in conversation are detailed on pages 4 and 7 of the DiLL Teacher's Guide. A reproduction is provided below:

Recap:

  • Use two-way connections to pair and group students in conversation
  • Use the Randomly Group feature to randomly pair or group your students in conversation
    • Each time the Randomly Group feature is used, DiLL will pair/group students with new partners
    • Want to randomly group only half the class? Select the students you wish to randomly group and then use the Randomly Group feature
    • Use the Undo/Redo buttons to switch between old and new partners
  • Arrange the layout by Conversation Group to clear up the interface when students are paired/grouped
