1.1 Launching DiLL

Description

Open DiLL from your Mac's dock, the /Applications folder, spotlight, or launchpad.

Students will open the DiLL Client and teachers will open DiLL Lab Controller.

Directions:

Instructions for launching DiLL are detailed on page 1 of the DiLL Teacher's Guide. A reproduction is provided below:

Recap:

  • Students open the student software called the DiLL Client (cucumber slice icon)
  • Teachers open the teacher software called DiLL Lab Controller (pickle jar icon)
  • Login with your school assigned username and password
  • If you're using DiLL in multiple labs, choose the appropriate classroom

Common Questions:

  1. What is my username? Do I have to add the @schoolname.edu at the end?

    DiLL integrates with your school's directory system, so students and teachers can login to DiLL using the same username and password they use to login to school email and other IT services. Adding @schoolname.edu should not be necessary.

  2. I don’t see my name listed in the classroom group. What do I do?

    Contact DiLL Support and we'll work with your school's IT team to create you a virtual DiLL classroom. Reach us by email at support@swifteducation.com, Twitter at @swiftedusystems, or by phone at (312) 257-3768.

  3. I don’t see the pickle jar anywhere. What do I do?

    If you can't find DiLL Lab Controller via the Dock, /Applications folder, and Spotlight, you may not have the application files installed on your Mac.
